UPDATE:  The deadline has officially passed (Eastern AND Pacific time).  The French Minister of Defense has apparently been too busy drafting the articles of surrender to order his units to kneel before their conquerors.  Civil disorder will be declared in France midnight Saturday (Eastern time).

1901 - An Illustrated History (with pictures!)

The French Minister of Tourism regrets to inform the pleasure-seeking upper classes of Europe that, due to unforeseen circumstances, France will be closed for awesome for the remainder of the season. The Minister of Defense, however, wishes to reassure the armies of Europe that France remains, as always, open for regime change and occupation.

I understand that a turn without retreats must cause significant confusion among the French soldiers... but when can we expect france to to grace us with its presence?

Life isn't all foie gras and chevre: sometimes armies must march several miles before enjoying a cigarette, a brie and butter sandwhich, and emotionless sex with a variety of mustachioed partners (above). Here's a tip: if you leave a trail of bagette crumbs behind you, it will be easy to find your way back to Paris with plenty of time to prepare a party for the Germans.

Here is a picture of Celia and me...exhausted and unready for the horrors we are about to face on Mt. Katahdin. I figured Bill could readily use both of these photos in future photoshop jobs of me. And the addition of Celia adds a damsel in distress option to his thematic and creative options.
