Fall 1904 Results (Belated)

First off, let me apologize for the delay. I wanted to give Damian a few extra days in case he got moves in, and then I got really busy with work. Due to the slip in the schedule, we will use the following revised schedule for the next turn:

  • Retreats are due Sunday (6/21) at midnight
  • Winter adjustments are due Tuesday (6/23) at midnight
  • Moves for Spring 1905 are due Sunday (6/28) at midnight

Now onto the results . . .

The Fall of 1904 brings continued strife along the main front in Central Europe, with no especially deep backstab apparent. While the Italians seem to have reached something of a stalemate with the Turks (and their Russian allies) in the Mediterranean, the Turkish fleet now in Greece may be the critical piece to tip things in Craig's favor. However the Italians seem well positioned to make the Turks pay in blood for every nautical mile taken in the Southeast.

Meanwhile in the North, while Germany and Russia spar over the Baltic coast, the British have managed to solidify their hold on Scandinavia, cutting off many of Germany's options against the spreading Iron Curtain. Indeed the British seem especially well positioned: as they mop up the last of France's supply centers and seem to turn their eye towards Germany, they have no apparent competitor for dominance in Western Europe.

The time for a serious stab is looming near on the horizon . . .

The following retreats are due Sunday at Midnight:

  • France must disband Belgium or retreat to Ruhr or Burgundy (apologies for the map showing this displaced unit in the wrong place; it's a bug in jDip)
  • Italy must disband Trieste or retreat to Tyrolia
  • Russia must disband Silesia or retreat to Bohemia or Galicia
